Quaint restaurant with the charm of a bygone era. But the food - world class! We have seldom eaten so well!

Good restaurant. My family has been in this place for 40 years. At the moment the menu is very small due to the corona pandemic. The sweetness is good and freshly made you can tell when you hear the schnitzel being knocked. We always like to come back there!

The perfect restaurant to finish off with or lunch during a hike directly on the Wispertalsteig. The quality of the food was surprisingly good. We were a group of 13 people who all enjoyed it very much. Vegetarians also found what they were looking for. The wines come from a good Rheingau winemaker from Lorch.

Cozy village tavern with delicious cakes and friendly service.

This restaurant really takes its motto "come as a guest and leave as a friend" seriously. Unobtrusive and at the same time attentive as well as very friendly and cordial you will be entertained in a cozy atmosphere with traditional and refined, "new" cuisine. My room was newly renovated and very tastefully decorated with an eye for detail. I slept like in heaven for 11 hours! The perfect breakfast was more than rich, varied and simply delicious. Last but not least, the price-performance ratio is also right. A real pearl in the Wisper Valley! Keep it up!

The food in the Dorfschänke is very tasty

A real culinary surprise, a bit on the A **** in the world. Ancient rustic inn, super nice beer garden, nice service! There were four of us and we had four different dishes, all of which were VERY delicate. Unfortunately only discovered at the end of the outdoor season - the area is very inviting for hiking. Whereby: you can also in winter! we're looking forward to next time!

A little expensive, but very good food and friendly service.

Although there was enough space outside, we had to go inside when the weather was fine. Even after just under 2 hours, 4 of the 8 tables were still free. It's a shame, the service was friendly, but the food ? was better. A little more flexibility would be appropriate here.

After a wonderful hike (Wispertalsteig) you have to go to the right tavern. We became aware of the Dorfschänke via Hessen à la carte; fresh, regional dishes and drinks. It was a great way to end a perfect day. Thank you!

Were there on July 16, food and service were excellent. Unfortunately not so great because of Aunt Corona atmosphere (no tablecloths etc.).

6 stars out of 5. Refreshing and casual. Natural and friendly. Not over the top. Elegant. The food is completely homemade and takes longer. Time is bridged with regional drinks. It was great fun and we like to come back. All the best for the future.

Very nice place, small located directly in the Untertaunus and above all very quiet. The inn was very great, cozy and well furnished for my view, not too modern. The food was very good from soup as a starter, main course to dessert. We, the whole family loved the food and the environment. After the meal we walked a bit through the forest, which is also recommended. The forest and the landscape invite you for a walk.
